What we will not do.
Every job site publishes what it has. This page publishes what it refuses, in terms specific enough to be checkable rather than merely sincere. Beside each promise, how to check it: today, where the code already holds the line, or later, where the line is written before there is anything built yet to test it against.
- No paid placement, ever. Checkable today
- Nobody can buy a row, a boost, or a place inside the list of postings. The one commercial surface this site carries, the sponsor slot, is a single bordered block that sits outside every list, labeled "Sponsor slot" whether it is sold or not. An unsold slot still renders and still says so, because hiding it until the day it sells would make the sale read as an editorial change instead of the commercial one it actually is. Check it on any page that carries it: it never sits inside a row, a card, or a table of postings.
- No ranking for money. Checkable today
- The index sorts three ways: Fit, Comp, and Age. That is the whole list. None of the three reads what anyone paid, because none of them is wired to anything that would know a payment happened. A sort that could be bought would need a fourth key nobody has built, and none is planned.
- No selling seeker access to recruiters. Checkable today
- There is no employer-side search over people on this site, at all, to sell. The one feature that could someday expose a seeker to a stranger, a public profile page, ships private-only in this build: the switch that would widen that (the profiles_public flag) is built into the code and switched off, not merely unannounced. Flip it, and this sentence stops being true; until then it is a promise a build flag is already keeping rather than one this page is only asking you to trust.
- No view receipts, ever. Checkable today
- Nothing here tells anyone who looked at what: no notice that a stranger viewed a profile, no read marker on an application, no count that climbs while a stranger looks and then hides behind a charge. There is no code anywhere in this build that records a cross-person view of anything, on a profile or on a posting. An absence is the cleanest receipt there is: there is nothing to switch off, because nothing was ever built that could be switched on.
- No synthetic occasions. Checkable today
- No invented reason to bring you back that the machine did not actually observe: no birthdays, no work anniversaries, no streaks, no game. This site has exactly two kinds of page: the record of what the machine found last night, and the tools a seeker uses on their own search. Neither one has a manufactured reason to interrupt anybody.
- Sponsors always labeled. Checkable today
- The sponsor slot carries its own label in both states, sold and unsold, and the label is never the sponsor's own name standing in for the disclosure. A reader knows they are looking at a sponsor placement before they know who bought it, every time, because the label renders whether or not anyone has.
- Nothing observed about you is sold back to you. Checkable today
- Every fact the machine derives about a posting, or about a seeker's own application, when it was first seen, its lifecycle, its closure, stays free to the person it concerns, for as long as this site exists. Every feature behind sign-in in this build ships free today: nothing is gated behind a charge, because there is no charge yet to gate anything behind. The day one exists, this sentence is the first thing it has to answer to.
- Notifications map to one fact, never to manufactured urgency. Written before the feature
- If this site ever sends a notification, it will name one thing the machine actually observed and nothing else: no "you appeared in searches," no invented streak, no marker with nothing behind it. There is no notification system anywhere in this build yet, so there is nothing running to check that claim against today. It is written down before the feature exists rather than after, on purpose, so the day one is built it already has to answer to a sentence rather than the other way around.
- Trials expire. They do not quietly become a charge. Written before the feature
- A lapsed trial ends. It does not default into a renewal nobody chose. There is no billing anywhere in this build: every feature behind sign-in is free today, and the decision to ever charge for anything is explicitly deferred until there is a real dataset behind it. Written here first, before there is anything to renew, so the commitment is older than the feature it will eventually bind.
